ABOUT US

Together, we are a community of believers. What does the word community mean? We believe we grow closer to God and one another together in fellowship. The Bible speaks about iron sharpening iron, and we grow stronger together. This is a place where you can make friends who love you for who you are and help you become the best version of yourself you can be!

 

 

 While many churches find comfort in staying within the confines of their own walls, we strive to be a church without walls. Jesus calls us to reach the lost and the broken, and it is outside church walls that the lost are found. We endeavor to be like the church from the Book of Acts and to see our city changed.

 

 Our church motto is "love God; love people." When Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment is, he responded, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, soul, and mind; and thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." We believe that if we can focus on loving God and loving people biblically, the rest will fall into place.

OUR MISSION

Our mission summed up in two words is make disciples. We believe that Christ's great commission in Matthew 28 must be fulfilled by the local church. What is that mission Christ gave? To go to all the world, preach the gospel, baptize believers, and disciple them in the truths of God's Word.

OUR VISION

Crosspoint strives to be the best it can be with the resources and people God gives. Our desire is that God would do something with this church for which people can only give Him the credit. When people see what is happening at Crosspoint, we want them to think, "Only God – only God could do that!"

OUR VALUES

We highly value our relationships with one another. We look to grow through fellowship, ultimately growing closer to God. We value the Word of God and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We look to extend grace to all of the lost and broken and to lead those with no hope to the hope of Jesus Christ.

OUR HISTORY

SMALL BEGINNINGS

  1. Crosspoint was launched in April of 2020 in the heat of the pandemic. The photo here was Pastor Josh's first service.
  2. Despite the pandemic, God continued to bring visitors each week!
  3. In under three years, attendance grew from 4-7 people each week to an average of 55 with some special Sundays reaching as many as 85-90!
  4. God has magnified His name through this church, and our desire is that He will continue to do so in the years to come!
  5. As God continues to build His church, we will be looking to build a new auditorium in the years to come.

Pastor Josh and his wife, Devin, with a small group of believers launched Crosspoint in 2020. Pastor Josh is the one up front who preaches the Word, but we know that Devin really keeps the church running smoothly. God is using them both in great ways at Crosspoint!

Michael Stimson

Pastor's Assistant

Michael joined Crosspoint in October 2022 as part of the internship program and recently accepted the role of Pastor Josh's assistant. Michael works primarily behind the scenes and completes tasks that would keep Pastor Josh overwhelmed. We are grateful for how God brought him to Crosspoint!
